Weather and climate
The weather and the climate are affected by atmospheric phenomena (temperature, humidity, precipitation, atmospheric pressure and wind). These phenomena exist in the Earth´s lower atmosphere. Weather and climate are different. The weather describes the atmospheric conditions in a particular time. On the other hand, climate refers to atmospheric conditions that exist in a region over a long period of time.
In this unit, we are going to study what is the atmosphere, how is its structure and what is the meaning of different terms such us ozone layer or greenhouse effect. The climate is made up of different elements: temperature, air humidity and precipitation, atmospheric pressure and wind. These elements determine how is the climate in a concret part of the world.
