“Threatened species” is a project based on learning developed together Natural Sciences and Social Sciences. The human impact on the environment has intensified in recent years. There are lots of reasons for this, such as the growth of consumption and the expansion of cities and industry. There is often a lack of balance between the natural world and society. This puts the conservation of nature at risk and it is threatening the survival of different natural species. We may are living in a deep environmental crises. In this project, we are going to study different natural species that are suffering the negative effects of pollution, global warming, illegal hunting and another different environmental hazards. Students should investigate about animals who live in endangered conditions, reporting information such as their physiological features, landscapes where they live, climatic conditions and environmental hazards. After that, they will put on the information in a slide, created through the next template.

During the investigation process, students should consult the following resources to get information about natural species, landscapes, climates and environment:
- Encyclopedia of Life
- World climate: intertropical zone
- World climate: temperate zone
- World climate: polar climate
- Climates of Europe and Spain
- Biosphere and environmental problems
The project will be evaluated with a rubric designed to check slides and oral expositions. You can consult it below.
